This blog is dedicated to our very first wedding at our modern countryside venue in DFW, the Diamond A Ranch! Ben and Raychell met through mutual friends and decided to tie the knot at the Diamond A as soon as we opened for business. The couple had seen the venue when visiting Dani, our venue manager, and fell in love with the views of the Texas Hill Country. It was so special to host our very first wedding for people so close to our hearts.
A Vibrant Ceremony at the Diamond A Ranch
Ben and Raychell didn’t let the winter blues of February dampen their wedding. They embraced bright, bold colors in their wedding palette. They exchanged vows on the Stone Pathway, one of our most popular locations for ceremonies! This clay and terracotta-colored flagstone courtyard overlooks the vibrant green forest and is perfect for any season. They adorned the ceremony space with pops of color in the flowers and paper hangings, which resembled papel picado. Raychell’s bridesmaids wore crimson gowns, and Ben’s groomsmen wore black with crimson ties. Ben’s father was his best man and stood proudly by as Ben and Raychell tied the knot!
A Bold and Beautiful Tented Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, Ben and Raychell escaped to the far corners of the Diamond A Ranch property for pictures, because there are so many unique backdrops for photos! They took a golf cart to the lake, explored the creek, and spent time in the fields before returning for their wedding reception. When asked about their priorities for their wedding day, Raychell told us she wanted a good party. And that’s what they got! They set up a tent beside the Homestead Quarters, our on-site, 6-bedroom private home designed for a full wedding weekend experience. Ben and Raychell danced the night away beneath the colorful papel picado.
