As a Weatherford wedding venue, we get extra excited when we can host couples the night before or after their wedding! For Erin and Clayton, having overnight accommodations was a non-negotiable. We were more than happy to open the doors of The Homestead Quarters and The Loop House, our on-site, family-size accommodations, to Erin, Clayton, and their guests.
At the time of their wedding, Erin had just finished physical therapy school, and Clayton was pitching for the New York Yankees! You could feel the joy and excitement in the air as their closest friends and family gathered to celebrate their marriage at our countryside wedding venue in Weatherford, Texas. We were so honored to witness the start of Erin and Clayton’s forever!
A Perfect Ceremony on The Saloon Turf
Erin and her bridesmaids got ready in our bright and airy Bridal Casita. They all wore adorable fuzzy slippers to get ready in, and Erin looked absolutely gorgeous in her off-the-shoulder gown with pearl details. Clayton and the groomsmen got ready in our Groom’s Quarters, playing pool and drinking to Clayton and Erin’s long and healthy marriage.
Right before the ceremony, Erina and Clayton stood just out of sight of one another to share a first touch instead of a first look. This way, they still got to interact without ruining the magic of seeing each other as Erin walked down the aisle! They also shared private vows and prayed together.
The ceremony took place on the Saloon Turf, overlooking the vast Texas Hill Country. They decorated their arbor with white roses and greenery, which matched Erin’s bridal bouquet. Erin and Clayton were smiling so happily as Erin walked down the aisle on her father’s arm. One of Erin’s bridesmaids shared a reading, the couple exchanged vows and rings, and all the guests cheered to Erin and Clayton’s happily ever after!
A Memorable Wedding Reception in the Homestead Saloon
After the ceremony, Erin and Clayton took couple’s portraits around the venue, embracing the gorgeous multi-colored sky at sunset. Then, they rejoined their guests in the Homestead Saloon for an unforgettable wedding reception! The tables were covered with beautiful blue linens that perfectly complemented the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses. With a combination of raised floral arrangements and gorgeous vases, the reception dripped with elegant simplicity.
After dinner, the dance floor opened. Erin and Clayton’s first dance was absolutely dreamy. Fog poured over the floor and made it look like they were dancing on the clouds! At the head table, the bridesmaids and groomsmen spun pieces of cloth over their heads, just like they would do at one of Clayton’s baseball games! The energy at this wedding was uncontainable! Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen had separate, coordinated dances. Erin changed into a silk mini dress with Nike sneakers to match Clayton. At the end of the night, the entire bridal party leapt into the pool! This was one of the most fun and unforgettable wedding receptions we’ve had the honor of hosting at Diamond A Ranch!
