Here at the Diamond A Ranch, we pride ourselves on being one of the best wedding reception venues in Fort Worth. Believe it or not, a lot of thought and time goes into creating a floor plan that allows your wedding reception to flow smoothly and keep guests comfortable. That’s why it’s important to work with a professional team that understands the space, the guest count, and your priorities for your wedding! Our team is incredible at creating one-of-a-kind experiences that perfectly match your vision for your wedding reception. Keep reading to learn how we do it!

Things We Consider When Planning Your Wedding Reception
Most wedding receptions at the Diamond A Ranch happen in the Homestead Saloon. This large open space (and its cathedral windows!) allows for a variety of setups for your event. If you choose to host your rehearsal dinner at the Ranch the day before your wedding, we’ll be able to create a completely different atmosphere for your reception the following night!
While building your reception layout, we consider everything from your guest count to your grand entrance. We want guests to be comfortable and not too crowded. You and your lover should be center stage (unless, of course, you don’t want that!). We even ask you about where you want your wedding cake, photo booth, and any other activities you have lined up. The higher the guest count, the more important the functionality of the room is. We will set up your reception space differently for a 50-guest wedding than we will for a 100-guest wedding.

Reception Layout Options at the Diamond A Ranch
One of the things that rates us at the top of all wedding reception venues in Fort Worth is our customizability. No two receptions look the same, and we love that! But after hosting dozens of weddings, we know what looks best. We recommend placing the head table directly in front of the cathedral windows, as they provide a stunning backdrop for photos. Then, the dance floor is centered in the room, allowing for a natural flow between dinner, toasts, and dancing. Guest tables fan out around the dance floor, so everyone stays connected to the celebration.
We also have a covered patio just outside the Homestead Saloon. This space is perfect for a cocktail lounge set-up, a mobile bar, or a quiet space to chat beneath the string lights. The attached turf lawn offers even more space to spread out and can also be great for games, additional lounge areas, or late-night food trucks.

Hosting Large and Small Wedding Receptions
The guest count truly does determine the layout of your wedding reception. We’ve hosted everything from 10-guest weddings to 250-guest weddings, and everything in between. If you’re hosting a large wedding, we use round and rectangular tables to maximize the space and maintain the flow of the room. We keep the DJ and band in the same place, allowing them to play music inside and outside. Our bar is also indoor and outdoor, so guests can take full advantage of the outside space!
If you’re hosting a small to micro wedding, you have even more options. Want to keep everything climate-controlled? No problem! We can set up your ceremony in the Homestead Saloon, in front of the large windows, and already have your reception tables set up behind the ceremony. Want to have an outdoor reception? We can do that, too. With 30 guests and under, you can have your reception on the turf lawn and watch the sun set over the Texas Hill Country, creating a lux backyard wedding vibe.
