One of our favorite things to host here at the Diamond A Ranch is a heartfelt, meaningful wedding weekend. And a recent couple, Emily and Brandon, gave us the perfect opportunity! Emily and Brandon are a powerhouse pair in the barrel racing world. Together, they run a thriving barrel horse training facility and have earned their fair share of buckles and banners. Just one month before their wedding weekend, Brandon made headlines by taking home the $1 million bonus at The American Rodeo. This unforgettable achievement that added an extra layer of celebration to their big day.
Emily and Brandon first crossed paths at a barrel racing futurity. They quickly bonded over their shared passion for the sport. Their love story first took them to Maryland, where they lived for four years before they decided to plant roots in Texas. Here, they purchased their home and started the next chapter of life—both in and out of the arena—together. They had a clear vision for their wedding: something simple, heartfelt, and beautiful. They wanted a weekend that felt relaxed yet elevated, surrounded by loved ones, good food, and the peaceful countryside.

A Perfect Texas Wedding Weekend Location
Since Brandon’s family is in Maryland, they needed a wedding venue that could easily accommodate out-of-town guests. After exploring several venues in the area, they returned to the Diamond A Ranch. They couldn’t find anything else that fit their vision and allowed them to host their entire wedding weekend in one place. Nothing beats the joy of having all of your friends and family together! Between the convenience of hosting everyone on-site, the seamless flow of our layout, and the rustic charm of the venue, the couple said that the Diamond A Ranch felt like home. And that’s exactly the experience they wanted to give their guests!

Wedding Ceremony in the Oak Grove & Reception in the Homestead Saloon
Emily and Brandon’s ceremony took place beneath the sweeping branches of our live oak grove. This peaceful, natural setting created timeless beauty and quiet intimacy to their vows. The soft rustle of leaves and golden Texas light created a picture-perfect backdrop for their “I do’s.” Their wedding felt deeply personal. Brandon’s cousin, who grew up like a sister to him, married the couple. Surrounded by nature, family, and their closest friends, the moment spoke volumes about their bond and shared journey

Cocktail hour followed on the Saloon patio. Guests enjoyed a mix of Blue Mesa appetizers and a custom charcuterie spread made with love by Emily’s hometown church group! Their guests then entered the Homestead Saloon, our indoor reception space with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light pouring through the cathedral windows. The entire layout flowed effortlessly, giving guests a true taste of Texas hospitality in a setting that felt equal parts rustic and refined.
